- Leaah was an 8th-grade student at the Stadium School when she was referred to MJAllen Ministries, LLC after her mother heard other students' success stories in the program. Her first session was on November 27, 2012.
- Leeah's challenges were across the board in each subject for the 1st Quarter; she received marginal grades in English Language Arts, Math, U.S. History, and Physical Science.
- For the convenience of her and her mother, Dr. Allen obtained permission from the principal to tutor her at the school. To make the weekly tutoring sessions happen, Dr. Allen re-arranged his work schedule to arrive at the school at the end of Leeah's school day for the once-a-week session. And then later to in-home-tutoring.
- After assessing Leaah's school records, Dr. Allen informed her that it would be an uphill battle to pass the 8th grade. However, if she worked with him, he guaranteed that she would graduate from middle school in June 2013.
- In 2013-14 MJAllen Ministries LLC funded various activities such as field trips to advance her education. Leeah's 8th-grade graduation was held at the Baltimore City College High School in June 2014. She attended the high school of her choice – Academy for College and Career Exploration (ACCE).
- Dr. Allen continued to tutor Leeah up through November 2014, at which time she found greater independence and eventually when on to graduate from ACCE, class of 2017.
